Smart thermostat
Can stand the heat, here's my kitchen
"Design an interface and app for our yet to be released smart thermostat". When a client makes such a request, that's like one giant cherry on a cake for us designers. Of course, there were more thermostats allready (Nest was a big new thing at the time) and a lot of hardware specifications were already decided upon, but within a week we overtook a room and changed it into 'the heating room', sketched, designed and presented the client a non-intrusive, super helpful piece of equipment.
